For those enthusiastic about welcoming a younger kitten into their family or wanting to be notified when they become available, please join our kitten adoption waitlist and embark on this incredible journey.
Application Process:
To get started, please fill out our application with a few simple questions. After reviewing your application, an adoption counselor volunteer will reach out to chat about kittens matching your search criteria.
If a kitten is posted on our social media platforms but not yet available for adoption please join the waitlist by submitting the form below. If there is not kitten matching your search criteria posted, please join our waitlist as well to gain priority access to future rescue litters based on your preferences.
- Please answer a few questions while providing the name of the kitten you are interested in.
- Once the waitlist request is reviewed we can discuss the kitten in more detail.
- Regular kitten updates will be provided so you can watch your potential new baby grow up until they can go home at approx. 3 months of age or when they reach the weight requirement for spay/neuter surgery.
Future Kitten Selection & Waitlist:
- When a new litter becomes available, people already on the waitlist will get first choice of the new kittens.
- Kitten selection typically occurs when our kittens reach the age of approx. 5 weeks, depending on your place on the waitlist.
- The order in which you join the waitlist will determine your priority for choosing your final kitten.
- In the event that someone ahead of you does not respond within 3 days of their turn, the next person on the list will have the opportunity to select their kitten.
- If you would like to pass on a litter and wait for the next litter then you will maintain your spot on the waitlist.
Kitten Exclusions:
- Occasionally, some kittens may be excluded from the selection process as they are being observed or have medical challenges.
- In some cases, there may be an extremely bonded kitten pair. In these cases, SOS Cat Rescue AZ may offer the kittens as a pair to people who signed up looking for specifically for either two kittens or a bonded pair.
- If a mother cat is chosen by someone on the waitlist, they may have first pick of her litter to help ensure she is paired with the most compatible kitten.
Home Visits:
- To protect the health and safety of our kittens, we do not allow visits to our foster homes, especially while we have unvaccinated litters.
- We also do not offer visits for allergy testing. If you’re concerned about allergies, we recommend seeing an allergist. Testing with unneutered cats may not reflect typical reactions to a sterilized kitten.
