DOB: approx. 13th of May, 2016

Hi Tucson! My name is Catniss as a homage to Katniss from the Hunger Game books. Why? You might ask! Easy, because I’m as independent as the character in the books.

My story is short and a bit sad. My pregnant momma was dropped off literally in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. Luckily, SOS peeps came to the rescue trapped me (and my five siblings whom have all been adopted) to give me a safe life indoors.

img_0931In my foster home, I live peacefully with other cats of all ages and both genders (in the picture to the left, I’m the one snuggled up in the middle). I greet my foster family with purrs especially during breakfast and dinner. I love being on a cat tree, that way my foster father doesn’t have to reach down to pet me.

catniss8I’m a very active and playful kitten, love feather toys, pin pong balls, and those twisty things…and love playing tag with my foster siblings. Even though I’m initially shy, I will warm up to people it just might take a bit longer.

If you would like to meet me in purr-son, please contact us either by phone (520) 445-3889 or by email to info@SOScatrescueAZ.org You could also fill out an adoption application, and you will be contacted about meet-and-greet possibilities.

Don’t make me wait too long. Meow ~Catniss.
