Hi, I’m Jade a jewel and hidden gem! I’m told to have the cutest meow and I’m definitely not shy communicating with my foster parents or any visitor. I will greet every new person at the door and follow what’s going on from my favorite spot.
On the bottom of this page, you can hear my meow. The video was taken the day I was rescued from the shelter. Even while being in the wire kennel over night, I showed my cuddly side and talked to my foster mom. I’m a normal, happy, sleepy, playful cat and I’m looking for my own home – forever for sure this time.
My previous owner of many years dropped me off at the shelter on his way to the airport and to a new life in a different state without me. I might have been an inconvenience to him but a SOS volunteer didn’t hesitate for a second to take me with him. A cat like me would not do well in the shelter, he said. He was nice enough not to mention that I’m on the heavier side and my fur on my back being completely matted.
I had an appointment at the rescue vet the very next day, where I got poked for my shots, blood drawn for the FeLV/FIV test, and endured the vet exam like a champ. In addition, I received a manicure (trim of my nails) and grooming. 
During a visit of family bringing an unfamiliar dog, I showed that I was tolerant as long as he kept his distance; I also tolerate my foster siblings of all shapes, sizes, and both genders in my foster home – I’m a calico thus I’m the boss.
